Cira Wright Named UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete Of The Week

Wright led the Bruins with a .452 attack percentage and 10 blocks in UCLA's NCAA first and second round victories last weekend. Wright hit .632 against San Diego, recording 13 kills on 19 attacks with one error to go along with eight block assists. In Saturday's sweep of UC Irvine, Wright had 10 kills with a .304 attack percentage and added two more block assists. For the weekend, she averaged 3.83 kills/game with a .452 attack percentage and 1.67 blocks/game for a team-high 28 points.

This is Wright's first UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of her career.

Swimming (won the 200 Fly at the U.S. Open in a personal best time of 2:11.29 and qualified for the Olympic Trials in the 200 Fly and 100 Fly).
