Monroe, Rigamat Earn All-America Honors

Los Angeles - Two UCLA women's soccer players were named to NSCAA All-America teams as forward's Mary-Frances Monroe and Stephanie Rigamat were named to the first and second teams respectively.

Monroe, who was a three-time All-American at the University of Connecticut, was UCLA's only first-team selection. She finished 2001 with 28 points (12g, 4a) and led the Bruins in game-winning goals with six. She was a candidate for both the Hermann Trophy and the M.A.C. Award, two player of the year honors. Rigamat led the Bruins in scoring with 30 points on 13 goals and four assists. She was a candidate for the Hermann.
