UCLA defensive tackle Rodney Leisle will return for his senior season, he announced today.
Leisle (6-3, 307), a second-team pre-season All-American, entered the 2002 season regarded as one of the top defensive tackles on the West Coast. He began the season with a stress fracture in his right foot that finally broke in the Oregon State contest. He missed the next five games before returning to play against USC, Washington and New Mexico.
"I'm excited about our prospects for next season," said Leisle. "I think coach Karl Dorrell will do a great job and I'm looking forward to working with coach (Don) Johnson (UCLA defensive line coach) for another year.
"I feel that another year in the UCLA program will greatly enhance my opportunity to play in the NFL."
