C.J. Niusulu, a junior defensive tackle, will not play in this Saturday's game against San Diego State, it was announced today.
Niusulu, who has played two of UCLA's three games following arthroscopic knee surgery on Sept. 1, has been suspended for violating athletic department policy. Federal laws regarding student privacy preclude discussion of details regarding the suspension.
"C.J. made a mistake that affects not only him, but the entire team," said head coach Karl Dorrell.
Niusulu will be allowed to participate in other team activities, including practice, while serving his one-game suspension.
