Rising Bruins Head to California For Conference Series:
The Bruins, winners of seven of their last ten games, will travel to Berkeley this weekend to take on California.

Each game of the series can be heard on www.uclabruins.com with Dave Marcus and Chris Pritchett calling the action.

Brophy Shuts Down Titans as UCLA Wins 12 Inning Contest, 5-4:
Kevin Brophy struck out a career-high three batters and did not allow a run in the final 2.2 innings of the game lead UCLA to a 5-4 win at Cal State Fullerton. With the win, the freshman improved to 5-0 on the year.

Josh Roenicke knocked in the game winner in the top of the 12th frame to seal the win for the Bruins. Brett McMillan, Ryan McCarthy and Preston Griffin each had two hits on the night.

UCLA Takes One in Wild Weekend Against Arizona State:
The Bruins claimed a 11-10 win on Sunday to salvage the series against the Sun Devils who won the two previous games of the weekend.

Ryan McCarthy went 5-for-5 on Sunday with two homers, including a two-run game winner in the eighth to highlight the Bruin offense. Kevin Brophy picked up his fourth win of the season as he kept ASU from reclaiming the lead in the top of the ninth.

Despite a stellar performance from Bruin starter Casey Janssen, UCLA fell 4-3 on Saturday. Janssen allowed only six hits in 6.2 innings of work. However, the Sun Devils scored one in the top of the ninth to break the tie and take the win.

Friday night saw the Bruins drop a 12-4 contest and Arizona State turn a rare triple play. On what looked to be a three-run home run by Chris Denove, ASU right fielder Travis Buck came back over the outfield wall with the ball and threw back into the infield to throw the runners out.
