Bruins Picked Third in Pac-10 Preseason Media Poll

Los Angeles - The UCLA football team was picked to finish third in the Pac-10 Conference this upcoming season it was announced Wednesday at the annual Pac-10 Media Day held at the Los Angeles Sheraton Gateway Hotel.

The Bruins, who received 10 first-place votes, were ranked behind both the Oregon schools, as Oregon was named the favorite in 2001 followed by Oregon State.

UCLA begins practice for the upcoming season on Aug. 11.
