In order to continue to provide a safe environment for UCLA fans, several procedural changes have been implemented at the Rose Bowl. Please be aware that the following procedures may be in effect during the season:
Searches at the entry gates will include inspection of all items that are carried into the stadium. These searches may include full searches of each person as well. These are often referred to as "pat down" searches and are at times necessary to ensure public safety.
You should expect that searches may cause some delay in entering the stadium. Please be patient. Most importantly, please remember that gates open two (2) hours prior to kick-off. We encourage you to arrive early.
Those patrons who do NOT carry any items into the stadium will enter more rapidly than those who bring items into the stadium. Each entry gate will include several "express lanes" to expedite entry for those who do not carry personal belongings. We encourage you to leave belongings in your vehicle whenever possible.
Remember that several items are NOT permitted inside the Rose Bowl. A listing of these items is posted at each entrance to the stadium. Purses and diaper bags smaller than 14"x14"x14" and sealed containers of water (2 liters or less) are the only containers allowed into the stadium.
Occasional inspections of vehicles parking near the stadium may be conducted by law enforcement personnel as you arrive. Should an inspection be deemed necessary, it will be conducted by law enforcement personnel and is in the interest of public safety.
We encourage you to arrive EARLY to avoid any delays. We also encourage you to ride the free shuttle from the Ralph Parsons engineering company in Old Pasadena. The Parsons lot is located at the corner of Fair Oaks and Walnut Avenues in Pasadena. The cost of parking is $6.00 per vehicle. The free shuttle is a great way to avoid traffic.
Expect to see Police Officers and security personnel doubling their efforts to ensure your safety. Thank you for your patience and cooperation. It is our goal to make your experience at the Rose Bowl as safe and enjoyable as possible.
