Havner led the Bruins to a 33-10 victory over San Diego State, finishing with 14 tackles (six solos), including one for loss. In addition, with the Bruins leading just 7-3 in the second quarter, Havner picked off a pass and returned it 52 yards for a touchdown and a 14-3 lead. This season, he has made 60 tackles in four games, and his average of 15.0 leads the Pac-10 by 3.25 stops per game. Havner, this week's Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Week, has now made seven interceptions in his career and has returned three for touchdowns. He averages 33.1 yards per interception, and his touchdowns have measured 52, 42 and 23 yards.
This is Havner's second UCLA/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and third of his career.
