COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS - The third-ranked UCLA women's volleyball team defeated Samford on Saturday morning by a score of 3-0. Game scores were 30-12, 30-21, 30-11. Brittany Ringel and Brynn Murphy both had double-figure kills in the match with 12 and 10, respectively. Murphy had an impressive .562 attack percentage in the match. The Bruins hit .457 in the opening game of the match and .500 in game three for a .436 team attack percentage for the match. Samford was negative as a team in games one and three, and hit .000 (25 kills, 25 errors, 94 attacks) for the match. UCLA had nine blocks to Samford's one in the contest. UCLA will return to action this evening with a 7:30 pm Central Time match against the host school, No. 15 Texas A&M.
