UCLA Earns Two Seed in MPSF Tournament

After finishing the season at 24-3, 11-1 in the MPSF, the Bruins now head into post season conference play with the number two seed. The 2006 MPSF Championship will be determined by a 13-team tournament at the University of California, Irvina at the Anteater Aquatics Complex. The Bruins' win over then No. 2 Stanford on 4/25 helped guarantee the team this spot. The Bruins' first game is on Friday against the winner of the Arizona St. vs. Long Beach State matchup. USC, UCLA, and Stanford have received byes, so they will begin play on Friday, whereas the rest of the competition begins on Thursday.

Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Conference Tournament
UCLA, the defending MPSF tournament champion, will begin play in the MPSF tournament on Friday at 1:45 PM against the winner of seventh seed Arizona State vs. tenth seed Long Beach State. The Bruins have defeated Arizona State twice this season and LBSU once. The complete tournament rankings and schedule are below.
