UCLA is 4-1 in overtime contests, with its only loss coming at the hands of California in 2000. The Bruins last overtime win was in 1999 when they defeated Washington, 23-20 on November 13.
With three sacks today, Dave Ball now has 11.5 sacks on the season, which already ranks fourth among Bruin single-season marks. Ball also has 26 sacks on his career, which rank second in the Bruin career record books.
Craig Bragg recorded his ninth career touchdown reception of at least 40 yards with his 40-yard reception in the third quarter. It was also the second such touchdown of the season for Bragg.
Spencer Havner's two blocked field goals in the game are believed to be a Bruin single-game record. He is the first Bruin to block two field goals in a season since Larry Atkins in 1997.
Brandon Chillar's touchdown on the blocked field goal was the first UCLA field goal return touchdown since 1961 when Kermit Alexander returned a blocked field goal for 87 yards at Stanford. Today's score was the second in UCLA history.
