Lombardo Earns First-Team Verizon All-District-VIII Academic Honors

LOS ANGELES - UCLA women's soccer goalkeeper Sarah Lombardo earned first-team Verizon Academic All-District-VIII honors Thursday as voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Lombardo, a junior goalkeeper from Long Beach, currently maintains a 3.982 grade point average, majoring in Molecular, Cellular & Developmental Biology. She had started nine matches this season before suffering a season-ending knee injury back on Oct. 19. Prior to her injury, Lombardo posted a 6-1-3 overall record with an 0.77 goals against average. She also had four shutouts.

First-team selections are eligible for Verizon Academic All-America honors.
