Idris Moss, a third-year sophomore wide receiver, has been dismissed from the UCLA football team, athletic director Dan Guerrero announced today. Moss, who made four receptions for 92 yards in 2003, has been dismissed for multiple violations of athletic department policy. Federal laws regarding student privacy preclude discussion of details regarding the dismissal. "This is an unfortunate circumstance for this young man," said Guerrero, "but all of our student-athletes know they are expected to follow the policies of our department." "We certainly wish Idris well in his future," said head coach Karl Dorrell. "He made some mistakes and has paid a severe price. Hopefully, he will learn from this and be successful elsewhere."
