UCLA Head Coach Karl Dorrell
"It's a great finish for our team. Two weeks in a row the kids have responded well in the second half. We are building on doing things the right way. All of our phases are working together. It is nice to see all three phases of our game come together. When all of the phases are working together we will have the kind of success we had tonight. It's nice to have that type of success."
"We are fortunate with tonight's win and excited about where we are heading. This is the fifth week we have gotten better and that is great to see. We see our potential and know what we can become."
On Reggie Williams
"We matched up better with him with zone and man. We were able to put pressure on Cody and make him hold the ball longer than he wanted. We made some great adjustments on defense."
On Rodney Leisle
"Anytime you have a big play, particularly at the beginning of a half, it gives you momentum. We were able to ride that momentum through the third and especially the fourth quarters. It gave us a great boost of confidence as a team and we were able to get everything working.
On the offensive line
"We made adjustments as well on the offensive side. We knew we had to run the ball in the second half, but we were also able to have big pass plays. We are making positive steps in both the defensive and offensive areas."
"Tonight we finally had a sense of the execution that we wanted and are capable of. We showed what we were capable of. We are getting closer and closer to being the team that I think we can be."
On Drew Olson
"He did a nice job of managing our offense today. He is a young player who still makes mistakes, but his mistakes are less and less. He came in and filled a void and his confidence is getting better and better.
On Craig Bragg passing him in the Bruin record books
"Who is more deserving than Craig Bragg. He is only a junior so that is a slap in the face. What better person than him to pass me. He does a great job of representing this program. It's nice to see his big play ability come through. When we needed him, he came through for us.
UCLA Quarterback Drew Olson
"I felt good tonight. In the first half there were some plays I would like to take back, like the interception.
"When the whole team is clicking on all three cylinders, the offense, defense, special teams, it motivates us and gets us going. It helps when we are all out there having fun and making plays."
"It was the number 18 team in the country, to do that to them is a compliment to everyone on the team and the coaches."
Washington Head Coach Keith Gilbertson
"We were playing really well. It was as good a half of football as we have had in a couple of years. When we turned that ball over, that gave them some light. They hadn't really earned a touchdown, yet they were in the game 16-14. After that, we were never able to stop them. I think our guys played well, it just felt like we were rolling down hill and couldn't get the brakes on."
"You have to give UCLA a lot of credit. They were down and it looked like they didn't have much going. They just hung in there and flipped it around.
