BRUINS OPEN HOME SLATE
UCLA plays its first home game of the 2007 campaign on Tuesday when the Bruins play host to UC Riverside at 2:30 pm.

UCLA holds an impressive .822 all-time record at Easton Stadium including a 24-4 (.857) mark last season. The Bruins bring a nine-game home winning streak and a 14-game winning streak against the Highlanders into Tuesday afternoon's contest.

The Bruins are scheduled to play 20 regular season games at Easton this season, including five games as part of the Stacy Winsberg Memorial Tournament next March and 11 Pac-10 contests.

UNLV'S DESERT CLASSIC UP NEXT FOR BRUINS
The second of UCLA's five pre-season tournaments is on tap for this weekend as the Bruins return to the Louisville Slugger Desert Classic following a two-year absence. Games will be played both at UNLV's on-campus facility (Eller Media Stadium) and at the Stephanie Lynn Craig complex in Henderson, Nev. With the exception of Sunday's contest against Wright State, all of UCLA's games will take place at Eller Media Stadium.

UCLA last played at the UNLV Classic in 2004, winning all five of its games against Nebraska, DePaul, Portland State, Wisconsin and Michigan. All of UCLA's games that season were played at Stephanie Lynn Craig Park.

HEAD COACH Kelly Inouye-Perez
Kelly Inouye-Perez became the third head coach in the history of the UCLA Softball program on January 1, 2007, following the retirement of Sue Enquist. Plans for the transition were announced on Sept. 26, 2006.

Inouye-Perez is in her 14th season on the UCLA coaching staff, having spent the past 13 years as an assistant coach under Enquist and Sharron Backus, working primarily with the Bruins pitchers and catchers. She becomes just the third head coach in the documented history of UCLA Softball, dating back to the 1975 spring season.

She won three NCAA titles as a player, in 1989, '90 and '92 and was a member of the coaching staff for UCLA's 1999, 2003 and '04 Championships.
