The UCLA women's soccer team placed two players on the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Season, with senior forward Zakiya Bywaters making the first team and sophomore midfielder Sarah Killion earning second team honors. Additionally, forward Taylor Smith was selected to the second team for Top Drawer Soccer's Freshman Team of the Season.
Bywaters, a semifinalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy, had a career season, leading the Pac-12 in scoring with 15 goals, 34 points and six game-winning goals en route to Pac-12 Player of the Year and first-team All-Pac-12 honors. She totaled five multiple-goal games this season in 23 games and finished her career with 23 goals, 21 assists and 67 points.
Killion got a late start to the season, missing the first six games while leading the U.S. to the gold medal at the FIFA U-20 World Cup, yet still finished the year ranked fifth on the team in scoring with 12 points off three goals and six assists. Killion played and started in 17 games and two game-winning goals. She earned first-team All-Pac-12 acclaim and honorable mention Pac-12 All-Academic honors.
Smith was the Bruins' second-leading scorer behind Bywaters, scoring eight goals and 20 points in her rookie campaign. A 17-game starter, Smith played in all 23 games and had three game-winning goals, including the game-winner in the NCAA first round against Wisconsin.
