Joseph Named First-Team Academic All-America

Nov. 30, 2006

UCLA junior offensive guard Chris Joseph has been named to the first-team of the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America football team as selected by the College Sports Information Director's of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America committee.

Joseph, who has a cumulative 3.96 grade point average in a Geography major, has started all 11 games in the 2006 season at weak guard. He was selected to the first-team Academic All-District VIII teams the past two seasons.

Joseph becomes the 15th Bruin to be named to the first-team CoSIDA Academic All-America team and the first to be so honored since center Shawn Stuart was selected to the 1998 squad.
