UCLA 38, USC 28
November 17, 2012

--With 22 completions today, redshirt freshman quarterback Brett Hundley set a new UCLA single-season completion record and has 249 this year. Hundley also moved into second on UCLA's single-season total offense list (3,255 yards; Cade McNown, 3,652) and fifth on the single-season passing list (2,973).

-- Hundley ran for his seventh and eighth touchdowns of the year, tying him with Rick Bashore (1978) for the sixth-most rushing scores by a UCLA quarterback.

--Hundley, who already has the Bruin freshman record for passing touchdowns, tied Cade McNown for the second-most TD's in a season by a UCLA quarterback with 25 after his throw in the first quarter (1st is Drew Olson with 34).

--Redshirt senior Y receiver Joseph Fauria, a John Mackey Award semifinalist for the nation's best tight end, has caught a pass in 19 straight games. His touchdown reception in the first quarter was his 10th of the season, tying him for third-most for one year at UCLA.

--Redshirt senior Johnathan Franklin, a semifinalist for the Doak Walker Award for the nation's best running back, recorded his eighth, 100-yard rushing game of the season. It ties him for the most in a single season at UCLA with Karim Abdul-Jabbar (1995), Gaston Green (1986), Freeman McNeil (1980) and Wendell Tyler (1975). It was Franklin's 18th-career, 100-yard rushing game to move into solo second on UCLA's all-time list (Gaston Green, 20)

--Franklin, the school's all-time leading rusher, surpassed the 4,000-career mark and has 4,110. His 1,441 yards this season is the second-most for one year at UCLA (Karim Abdul-Jabbar, 1,571, 1995). Franklin's 4,599 career all-purpose yards are second at UCLA (Maurice Jones-Drew, 4,688).

--The 171 rushing yards by Franklin were the most for a Bruin against USC since 1986 (Gaston Green, 224).

--Redshirt junior Shaquelle Evans, the team's leading wide receiver, had a career-best eight receptions to go with his second-career, 100-yard receiving game (114).

--Redshirt senior kickoff specialist/punter Jeff Locke, a Ray Guy Award semifinalist for the nation's best punter, had six touchbacks to give him 60 on the year.

--Junior outside linebacker Anthony Barr recorded his 12th sack of the season, which is tied for the seventh-most in one year at UCLA.

--The blocked punt by redshirt sophomore Eric Kendricks in the third quarter and the blocked field goal by Sheldon Price in the fourth quarter was UCLA's fifth and sixth blocks in the last two games (four at Washington State last week).

--Jim Mora captured his ninth win of the season, tying him with Terry Donahue (1976) for the most victories for a UCLA first-year head coach.

--UCLA has won 16 of its last 20 games when winning the turnover battle.

--Today's victory was the first over USC since 2006. The 38 points against the Trojans were the most since 1996, a 48-41, double overtime victory for the Bruins.

--The 24-0 UCLA lead in the middle of the second quarter was the Bruins' largest advantage against USC since 1986 when they led 38-0 in the third quarter. The 17 points for the Bruins in the first quarter were the most in one quarter since 1996 (17 in the 4th).

--Today's attendance was 83,277. With the 81,673 at The Rose Bowl in the Bruins' last home game on Nov. 3 against Arizona, today marks the first time UCLA has had back-to-back, 80,000+ attendance contests since 2008 (USC, 87,790 and Oregon State, 83,478).
