LOS ANGELES - The No. 10 UCLA women's tennis team picked up its third-straight victory on Wednesday, cruising to a 6-1 win over Fresno State at the Los Angeles Tennis Center.

UCLA (10-4) lost just four total games in three doubles matches, clinching the point when Maya Johansson and Pamela Montez downed Abby Hayley and Laura Pola, 8-2 at court No. 3. That win was preceded by an 8-0 Bruin win at court No. 2, where Noelle Hickey and McCall Jones improved to 7-1 on the year together with an 8-0 win over Olga Kirpicheva and Melissa McQueen.

After claiming the doubles point the Bruins immediately took a 2-0 lead, as the Bulldogs (3-6) had only five healthy players available for singles. Carling Seguso then gave UCLA a 3-0 advantage when she downed Bianca Modoc, 6-1, 6-0 at court No. 5. Seguso has now won 13-straight singles matches.

Andrea Remynse clinched the win for the Bruins at court No. 2, taking a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Pola to give UCLA an insurmountable 4-0 lead.

Montez (court No. 3) and Courtney Dolehide (court No. 4) were also straight-set winners for the Bruins on Wednesday.

Fresno State's lone point came at court No.1, where Marianne Jodoin upset Jones, 3-6, 6-4, (10-6).

UCLA continues action tomorrow, hosting No. 9 Baylor at Noon. The Bruins will get a chance to avenge a 4-2 loss to the Bears suffered on Feb. 20 at the USTA/ITA National Team Indoors in Charlottesville, Va.
