Sept. 18, 2012

Coach Mora addresses media after Tuesday's practice

The Bruins took the field for the first time following last week's win over Houston and began preparations for Saturday's Pac-12 Conference battle with Oregon State. It was another day of good work on the new turf and grass surfaces at Spaulding Field.

Some Bruin notes from the NFL's second weekend- Arizona - DL saw action for Arizona; Carolina - PK Justin Medlock did not attempt a field goal last week for the Panthers , Cleveland - LS Christian Yount; Dallas - DL Kenyon Coleman started at end; Denver - WR Matthew Willis had one catch, S Rahim Moore started at free safety; Indianapolis - LB Justin Hickman saw action for the Colts ; Jacksonville - RB Maurice Jones-Drew gained 60 yards on the ground and caught a five-year scoring pass, TE Marcedes Lewis also saw action; San Diego - OT Mike Harris started at tackle for the Chargers; Tennessee - LB Akeem Ayers had nine tackles, CB Alterraun Verner added five stops; Washington - TE Logan Paulsen saw action; Minnesota - P Chris Kluwe kicked to a 48.0 yard average..

Five more home contests in the Rose Bowl remain for the Bruins, including this weekend's matchup against Oregon State (Sept. 22, 12:30 p.m. on ABC/ESPN2). For ticket information call 310-UCLA-WIN or visit uclabruins.com/tickets.
