No. 2 UCLA Rounds Out the Regular Season Against USC This Friday
The second-ranked UCLA women's soccer team (14-1-3; 7-1-2 Pac-12) rounds out the 2011 regular season this Friday, hosting cross-town rival USC (7-12; 4-6 Pac-12) at Drake Stadium beginning at 7:00 p.m. Tickets for the match are $7 for adults and $5 for youth/students (w/valid ID). Live stats will be available at uclabruins.com, as will a live streaming audio feed of the match. Both are free to follow.

Senior Salute
UCLA fans are encouraged to arrive early on Friday, as the five Bruin seniors who are competing in their final regular-season match at Drake Stadium will be honored prior to the start of the match. This year's senior class is comprised of Sydney Leroux, Summer Williams, Amelia Mathis, Charney Burk and Chante' Sandiford.

The UCLA/USC Series
This Friday marks the 25th meeting between UCLA and USC in women's soccer, with the Bruins owning a 19-4-1 advantage in the all-time series. The Women of Troy edged the Bruins, 1-0 last season at the LA Coliseum before an NCAA regular-season record 8,527 fans. Eight of the last nine meetings between the two teams have been decided by just one goal.

Leroux Named Pac-12 POW
Sydney Leroux was named Bank of the West Pac-12 Women's Soccer Player of the Week for Oct. 24-31, Commissioner Larry Scott announced Tuesday. The senior achieved her second hat trick in two weeks, scoring three goals in the first half of Friday's meeting with Colorado in Boulder. UCLA went on to win 8-0. On Sunday, Leroux also scored the game-winner in overtime to beat Utah, 1-0. The goal was Leroux's eighth game-winning goal of the year. She has scored seven goals in the Bruins' last four matches. It marks Leroux's second Pac-12 Player of the Week honor this season and the 29th all-time selection for UCLA.

Pink Jerseys Still Available
UCLA players wore pink jerseys for the team's annual Breast Cancer Awareness match on Oct. 23 against ASU. Those jerseys are now being auctioned off on uclabruins.com, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Revlon/UCLA Breast Center. The auction ends on Nov. 11. Click HERE to access the auction.

UCLA Downs Colorado, Utah
UCLA enjoyed a tremendous weekend of play during the team's first-ever Pac-12 road trip to Colorado and Utah last week, outscoring the two schools 9-0. The Bruins began the trip with a 8-0 victory over Colorado. Sydney Leroux had a hat trick in the first half of that match, and sophomore Jenna Richmond also added a pair of goals, as the Bruins avenged their 1-0 loss to the Buffaloes last year in Boulder. UCLA was also victorious against Utah on Sunday, as Leroux broke open a scoreless tie in the eighth minute of overtime to help the Bruins edge the Utes, 1-0.

UCLA in the Pac-12 Statistics
As a team, UCLA ranks highly in several Pac-12 statistical categories, including: shutouts (T-1st), corner kicks (1st), assists (2nd), goals allowed (2nd), goals (3rd) and points (3rd). Individually, Sydney Leroux leads the conference, and ranks third nationally, in game-winning goals with eight. She also ranks second in both points and goals. Freshman goalkeeper Katelyn Rowland leads the conference in shutouts with nine. She also ranks second in goals against average (0.54.). Complete Pac-12 statistics can be found HERE.

UCLA at No. 2/4 Nationally
Following its two wins over Colorado and Utah last week, UCLA remained at No. 2 in this week's Soccer America rankings, however moved up from No. 6 to No. 4 in the NSCAA Coaches' Poll. Stanford remains the No. 1 team in the nation in both rankings.

NCAA Selection Show on Nov. 7
The 64 teams that will make up this year's NCAA Tournament field will be revealed on Monday, Nov. 7, as the NCAA Division I Women's Soccer selection show will air live on NCAA.com at 1:30 p.m. (PST). UCLA reached the round of 16 at last year's tournament, falling to Stanford in the round of 16. The video will be available on Monday HERE.

Defense Steps It Up
UCLA's defense has been outstanding this season, surrendering just nine goals in 18 matches. In addition, the team ranks ninth nationally in shutouts with 12. The team's goals against average also stands at 0.48. If the season were to end today, the teams 2011 totals in all three categories (goals allowed, shutouts and GAA) would rank in the top five all-time at UCLA.

Leroux's Place in Bruin History
Sydney Leroux will end her collegiate career ranked in the top five all-time at UCLA in four offensive categories. She currently ranks fourth in all four categories: points (120), goals (55), game-winning goals (23) and multiple-goal games (14).
