UCLA Women's Rowing to Face Loyola Marymount on Saturday

UCLA's Season Outlook

LOS ANGELES - The UCLA women's rowing program opens its 2013 spring season against Loyola Marymount on Saturday morning in Marina del Rey, Calif. The Bruins will race three eights, one freshman eight, and three fours against the Lions.

UCLA returns 10 fourth-year seniors this season after having finished eighth overall at NCAA Championships last season, the program's highest-ever finish at the year-end event.

Saturday's races will begin with two UCLA novice fours at 8 a.m. The Bruins' varsity four will race at 8:15, followed for the freshman eight and third varsity eight (8:30 a.m.) and the top two varsity eight crews (8:45 a.m.).

UCLA's Boathouse is located 11 miles south of UCLA and is located at 14001 Fiji Way in Marina del Rey, Calif. There is no cost to attend any UCLA rowing events in Marina del Rey, and parking is available off Fiji Way at the Fisherman's Village (five minute walk from the boathouse) and at Dock 52 (15 minute walk from the boathouse).
