ANN ARBOR, Mich. - The No. 3 UCLA women's water polo team rallied to defeat No. 14 Indiana, 8-4, in the final game of the Michigan Invitational. The Bruins improved to 4-0 on the year as sophomore Emily Donohoe led the team with four goals against the Hoosiers.

In the win over the Hoosiers (1-3), UCLA also received two goals from senior utility Emily Greenwood. Rounding out the scoring with one goal each was freshman attacker Gisselle Naranjo.

The Bruins got on the board first with a goal from Donohoe at the 7:20 mark. The Hoosiers then built a 3-1 lead with three consecutive power play goals. Jackie Kohli scored two of them (6:55 and 3:43) and Shelby Taylor scored the other (5:06) as Indiana led 3-1 at the end of the first period.

Then the Bruins' defense went to work, shutting out Indiana for two stratight periods. The Bruins tied it up by halftime (3-3) with a power play goal by Fattal (4:27) and a second goal from Donohoe (0:38) to end the scoring for the second quarter.

Greenwood scored twice in the third period, which would be all the Bruins would need to secure the victory. Her first goal at 6:51 allowed UCLA to reclaim the lead at 4-3 and her second came on a 6-on-5 opportunity at 5:57 that gave the Bruins a 5-3 lead through three periods.

Donohoe completed her hat trick and then added a fourth goal (5:47 and 4:10), both at full strength, to extend the Bruins' lead to 7-3. Naranjo's lone goal made it 8-3 with 2:20 remaining. The Hoosiers ended a scoreless stretch that spanned 26:32 with an extra man goal by Candyce Schroeder with 1:11 left in the contest to end the scoring at 8-4.

Redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Sami Hill, played all four periods recording a season-high 12 saves. Jessica Gaudrealt was credited with eight saves for Indiana.

UCLA returns to action next week at the UC Santa Barbara Winter Invite when they face the Pacific Tigers at UCSB's Recreation Center Pool at 9:30 a.m. (PT).
