SERIES: UCLA leads 88-33

#2 UCLA vs. WASHINGTON
This is the 122nd meeting between UCLA and Washington with the Bruins leading the series 88-33, including winning 32 of the last 42 games. Washington swept the season series (first time since 1987) last year, snapping a 19-game losing streak in Pauley Pavilion in the process. The Huskies posted a 69-65 victory in Los Angeles on Jan. 14, 2006 and a 70-67 win in Seattle on Feb. 11, 2006. Earlier in the season, the Bruins routed the Huskies 96-74 on New Year's Eve behind Arron Afflalo's 27 points. Bruin head coach Ben Howland is 4-4 against Washington while UW head coach Lorenzo Romar is 4-6 versus UCLA. Romar served four seasons as an assistant coach on Jim Harrick's UCLA staff from 1993-96. Additionally, UW assistant coach Cameron Dollar was a four-year (1994-97) letterman and two-year starter at UCLA, winning a national title in 1995 and three Pacific-10 Conference championships (1995, 1996 and 1997). Dollar still ranks third on the UCLA career charts in steals (214) and eighth in assists (451).

NATIONAL POLLS
UCLA is currently ranked second in both the Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today polls. Earlier this year, UCLA spent six weeks (Nov. 27-Jan. 1) ranked first in the AP poll and five weeks (Dec. 4-Jan. 1) atop the Coaches poll. UCLA has spent more time (134 weeks) at number one in the history of the AP poll than any other program.

HOWLAND REACHES MILESTONE VICTORY
UCLA Head Coach Ben Howland won his 250th game in the 70-65 home win over 19th-ranked USC on Feb. 7, 2007. Howland, now in his 13th season as a Division I head coach, is averaging 19.4 wins per season with still more games to play in 2006-07. Equally impressive is the fact that he won his 200th victory just last year on Nov. 19 in a 56-37 home win over Delaware State.

WHAT'S BRUIN'
UCLA ...
• Has won its second-straight Pacific-10 title and earned the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Pac-10 Tournament.
• Has completed the first true undefeated home season (16-0) since 1974-75 (32 seasons). The 1994-95 squad was 15-0 at home, but it included a forfeit win over California (after the Bruins originally lost the game 100-93).
• Has made 200 three-point field goals, which is fourth on the season list while the 533 attempts are sixth and the .376 percentage is fifth.
• UCLA averages 34.5 points and shoots .468 from the floor, .338 from three and .578 from the line in the first half of games. In the second half, it averages 38.9 points and is shooting .519 from the floor, .417 from three and .709 from the line.
• Has outrebounded seven of its last nine opponents.
• Has won 26 or more games in back-to-back seasons for the first time since the 1974-75 (28-4, John Wooden's last season) and the 1975-76 season (28-3, Gene Bartow's first year).
