SIXTH-RANKED BRUINS TRAVEL TO COLORADO AND UTAH
The defending national champion and sixth-ranked Bruins wrap up a four-match road trip this weekend, facing Colorado on Friday at 6:45 p.m. PT and Utah on Saturday at 6 p.m. PT. Both contests will be live streamed online at UCLABruins.com.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Bruins host the Bay Area teams next week, with the Thursday, Nov. 15 match against California at 5 p.m. being the last at the John Wooden Center this season. The following evening (Friday, Nov. 16) at 7 p.m., UCLA returns to Pauley Pavilion, hosting top-ranked Stanford.

BRUINS IN THE POLLS
The Bruins dropped one spot to sixth in this week's AVCA Coaches poll, losing 94 points. UCLA is one of five Pac-12 teams ranked in the Top 8 in the nation (#1 Stanford, #4 Oregon, #5 Washington and #8 USC). The Bruins fell one position to sixth in this week's Volleyball Magazine poll, losing eight points. UCLA was also ranked #1 in the preseason Pac-12 Coaches poll.

TEAM NOTES
UCLA enters the week in the top 10 nationally in three categories, ranking third in kills per set (14.77), fourth in assists per set (13.84) and seventh in hitting percentage (.294). The Bruins are also 18th in blocks per set at 2.78, making them one of two teams (Penn State) that are ranked in the Top 20 in hitting, kills, assists and blocks per set ... UCLA leads all Pac-12 teams in hitting percentage and is second in kps and aps. The Bruins also have the highest hitting mark in the conference in league matches at .292 ... UCLA has hit over .300 14 times this season and is undefeated when eclipsing the mark. The Bruins went over the .300 mark 12 times all last year ... 12 of UCLA's 18 victories have been sweeps ... UCLA is 14-0 when holding its opponent under a .200 hitting percentage ... the Bruins hit .519 as a team against Idaho on Sept. 7, which was the highest hitting percentage in a match for UCLA in the rally scoring era (since 2001).

PLAYER NOTES
Senior Tabi Love enters this week's play at 11th nationally in kills per set (4.59) and 15th in points per set (5.00). Sophomore Zoë Nightingale is 29th in blocks per set (1.35) and sophomore Karsta Lowe is 48th in hitting percentage (.364) ... Love is second among all Pac-12 players in pps and third in kps. She also has the most kps (5.02) and pps (5.39) in conference matches only. Nightingale is fourth overall in bps and sophomore Megan Moenoa is fourth in assists per set (10.52) ... junior Kelly Reeves surpassed the 700-dig mark against Colorado on Nov. 9 and now has 743 for her career. She is also two kills away from 500 ... with her 24 kills at Arizona State on Saturday, Love has cracked the 20-kill mark eight times this year. Her 24 kills against Washington State (Oct. 26) and 25 versus Washington (Oct. 28) were the first times she had posted at least 20 at home. The previous five occasions were on the road (20 at Nebraska, career-high 26 at Hawai'i, 24 at Colorado State, 25 at Washington, 25 at Stanford). Love also has four aces and 1.96 dps over her last seven matches, posting her first double-double as a Bruin at ASU (24 kills, 11 digs) ... freshman Becca Strehlow set a career high with seven kills at Arizona State. She recorded her second double-double of the season on Oct. 17 against Utah with 41 assists and 11 digs ... Moenoa has produced at least five digs in 11 of her last 12 matches, including 12 to go with 34 assists against Washington State for her second-career double-double ... senior Bojana Todorovic, who has 57-career, double-figure digs contests, is 13 digs shy of 1,200 as a Bruin. She sits eighth on UCLA's all-time list with 1,187. Jenny Johnson is seventh in Bruin lore with 1,214 digs. Todorovic is also 16th in Bruin history with 105 aces ... senior Rachael Kidder recorded the 1,300th kill of her career against Washington and ranks 17th on UCLA's all-time list with 1,324. Next up on the list are Lauren Fendrick (16th, 1,356) and Jeanne Beauprey/Dicey McGraw (T-14th, 1,365) ... over her last 11 matches, junior Mariana Aquino is hitting .453 with 44 kills and just five errors in her last 86 attempts. Aquino has seven contests this season with at least four kills and no errors ... Nightingale, who set a career high with 11 kills against Washington, is averaging 1.49 blocks per set over her last 13 contests (67 blocks in 45 sets). The sophomore has produced at least five blocks in 13 matches, which leads the team ... junior Meg Norton is averaging 2.30 dps over her last nine, with at least four digs in eight of the nine contests and a career-high 18 at Stanford on Oct. 12.

SCOUTING THE COLORADO BUFFALOES
Colorado (14-12) dropped both matches last weekend at the Washington schools to fall to 4-10 in Pac-12 play. The Buffs' four victories have come against Utah, Washington State, Arizona State and Oregon State. Colorado is hitting .197 as a team, averaging 12.01 kills, 1.17 aces, 12.21 digs and 2.28 blocks per set. Three players are averaging at least 2.00 kps, led by freshman Alexis Austin's 3.06. Sophomore Neira Ortiz Ruiz is second with 2.11 kps and junior Nikki Lindow is third with 2.00 kps. Freshman Nicole Edelman handles the setting duties and is posting 9.09 assists per set to go with a team-best 26 aces. Freshman Chelsey Keoho is tops on the squad with 2.74 dps, while Lindow leads the team with 1.31 bps. Liz Kritza is in her fourth season at Colorado and has a record of 33-78 and a 109-117 mark in seven-plus seasons of head coaching.

THE MATCHUP: BRUINS VS. BUFFALOES
The Bruins are 6-0 all-time against the Buffaloes, having won 18 of 20 sets. On Oct. 19 at the John Wooden Center, Tabi Love had 14 kills and Rachael Kidder added 13, as the Bruins hit .317 as a team in a 25-20, 25-16, 26-24 victory. Last year in Boulder (Oct. 2), Bojana Todorovic had a double-double with 12 kills and 12 digs in a 25-18, 25-16, 25-20 win. That match was the first time the Bruins had played in Boulder.

SCOUTING THE UTAH UTES
Utah (12-15) fought both Washington State and Washington to five sets last week, but ultimately dropped the two contests to fall to 3-11 in Pac-12 play. The Utes' three wins have come against Washington State, Arizona State and Oregon State. Utah is hitting .235 as a team, averaging 12.75 kills, 1.15 aces, 12.41 digs and 3.04 blocks per set. Three players are averaging over 2.00 kps, led by sophomore Chelsey Schofield's 3.21. Junior Morgan Odale is second with 2.76 kps and first with 31 aces, while junior Erin Redd is third with 2.26 kps and second with 1.15 bps and 23 aces. Senior McKenzie Odale (6.40 assists per set) and freshman Kendall Cygan (5.77) are splitting the setting duties. Junior Nikki Sim is tops on the squad with 2.75 dps, while sophomore Bailey Bateman is first with 1.54 bps. Beth Launiere is in her 23rd year as Utah's head coach and has a record of 448-273.

THE MATCHUP: BRUINS VS. UTES
The Bruins are 11-1 all-time against the Utes, having swept them in all three Pac-12 contests. On Oct. 17 at the John Wooden Center, Tabi Love had 18 kills, Rachael Kidder posted 13 kills and Becca Strehlow added 41 assists and 11 digs, as the Bruins hit .330 in a 25-22, 25-21, 25-18 victory. Last year in Salt Lake City (Sept. 30), UCLA won 25-12, 25-20, 25-17, as Kidder had 18 kills and eight digs. The Bruins, who are 10-0 when winning the opening set against Utah, are 2-1 in Salt Lake City. Utah's only win in the series was a five-set triumph on Sept. 17, 2004.
