Coach Mora: Post-Practice on Tuesday

Coach Mora addresses media after Tuesday's practice

The Bruins continued preparations for the home-opener on Saturday against 17th-ranked Nebraska with a spirited practice on the new turf and grass surfaces at Spaulding Field.

Nebraska leads the all-time series 6-4 and has been ranked first or second in six of the previous 10 matchups. Almost exactly 40 years ago, UCLA captured one of its biggest wins in school history when it knocked off the two-time, defending national champion Cornhuskers in the 1972 season-opener. Quarterback Mark Harmon directed a wishbone attack which helped snap Nebraska's 32-game unbeaten streak. A field goal by Efren Herrera in the game's final seconds sent UCLA to a 20-17 win in the Los Angeles Coliseum.

The game against Nebraska is the first of three straight home contests in the Rose Bowl for the Bruins --- Nebraska (Sept. 8, 4:30 p.m. on FOX), Houston (Sept. 15, 7:30 p.m. on Pac-12 Networks) and Oregon State (Sept. 22, time TBA). For ticket information call 310-UCLA-WIN or visit
