Pasadena, Calif. - Less than 24 hours after helping his team to an emotional 45-43 victory over Arizona State in Tempe, UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley woke up early on Sunday morning to help with a special cause, one that hits very close to home for the Bruin freshman.

With his sister, Paris, and Mom, April, by his side, Hundley took part in the 2012 Walk to End Epilepsy at the Rose Bowl on Sunday. The Hundley Family has been aware of the condition for quite some time, as Paris had her first epileptic seizure at the age of 10. Since that time Paris, now 20, has had countless struggles with the condition, suffering numerous seizures which have resulted in more than 100 visits to the emergency room.

"I just want to do whatever I can to support the cause and raise awareness," said Hundley. "Most people who haven't seen epilepsy first hand probably don't know what it's really about. Because of my sister, I've seen what it can do to people. This is a cause I'm passionate about. My sister is the strongest person I know."

With his sister by his side, Hundley was brought up on stage and awarded with the foundation's Sibling of the Year Award. Following the 5K Walk/Run and 1-Mile Stroll, he then took the stage again to hand out medals to the participants.

"It wasn't really that tough getting up this morning," said Hundley, who arrived back in Los Angeles with the Bruins last night. "This (event) was important to me. I wasn't going to miss it."
