Six Football Bruins Earn Pac-10 All-Academic Honors

Six members of the UCLA football team have been named to the Pac-10 Conference All-Academic team, it was announced today.

Sophomore punter Jeff Locke, who owns a 3.57 grade-point average in Economics, was named to the first unit for the second straight year. He is joined on the first team by special teams player/holder Danny Rees, as senior with a 3.51 GPA in History.

Sophomore defensive end Damien Holmes was named to the second unit. He has a 3.13 GPA in History.

Three more Bruins - sophomore quarterback Kevin Prince, senior linebacker/special teamer Mike Schmitt and junior linebacker Sean Westgate - earned All-Academic honorable mention.
