Senior midfielder Chelsea Cline (Des Moines, IA/Shattuck-St. Mary's HS) of the UCLA women's soccer team was selected as the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Aug. 20-26.
Cline had a hand in three of UCLA's four goals over the weekend, helping the Bruins improve to 3-0 on the year. Playing at Fresno State on Friday evening, Cline assisted on Abby Dahlkemper's goal in the 39th minute to give UCLA a 1-0 advantage. She then scored a goal of her own in the 59th minute, as UCLA went on to post an eventual 2-0 victory. On Sunday against No. 22 Illinois at Drake Stadium, Cline assisted on an insurance goal by Ally Courtnall in the 61st minute, helping UCLA notch a 2-0 win in the team's 2012 home opener.
This is Cline's first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of her career.
