All UCLA fans are encouraged to join the ultimate spirit event at UCLA - the Beat `SC Bonfire and Rally, which will take place on Monday, Nov. 21 at 7:30 pm at Wilson Plaza near Janss Steps.
Sponsored by the UCLA Alumni Association and Student Alumni Association, the bonfire and rally will feature outstanding student dance and singing performances, the UCLA Spirit Squad and UCLA Marching Band, and Bruin Head Coach Rick Neuheisel and the UCLA Football team. Former UCLA quarterback Wayne Cook ('96) will be the emcee. The night will be capped off by the lighting of the 30-foot bonfire.
The first thousand students who turn in an article of red clothing will receive a limited-edition Beat 'SC Bonfire and Rally t-shirt.
Beginning in 1929, the UCLA-USC rivalry has featured numerous memorable moments and figures, including John Barnes' miraculous heave to a streaking JJ Stokes to seal a Bruin victory in 1992, quarterback Cade McNown's perfect 4-0 record against USC, and Eric McNeal's interception that led to a 13-9 win over the No. 1-ranked Trojans that erased their national championship aspirations in 2006.
Join this celebration of UCLA on Nov. 21 and rally to support the football team in its Nov. 26 showdown against USC at the LA Coliseum in the Battle of the Victory Bell.
