A school-record 10 UCLA players earned Academic All-Pac-12 honors this season. The 10 Bruins players selected to the honorable mention squad are Chelsea Braun, Ally Courtnall, Abby Dahlkemper, Sarah Killion, Kylie McCarthy, Samantha Mewis, Megan Oyster, Jenna Richmond, Katelyn Rowland and Chelsea Stewart.
Richmond, an honorable mention selection a year ago, is the lone Bruin to earn repeat academic honors. As sophomores, Courtnall, Dahlkemper, Killion, McCarthy, Mewis, Oyster, and Rowland are all in their first years of eligibility for the award, as is Stewart, who transfered from Vanderbilt prior to the 2011 season.
UCLA Soccer's academic accomplishments come as no surprise, as the Bruins won the UCLA Most Improved Team GPA award with a 0.155 improvement from 2010-11 to 2011-12.
Last week, Dahlkemper and Killion were named to the All-Pac-12 first team, while Mewis and Rowland were second-team honorees, and Richmond was an honorable mention pick.
