TEMPE, Ariz. - For the second straight match, junior Bojana Todorovic had no hitting errors, producing 14 kills in 25 attempts for a .560 hitting percentage, as the second-ranked Bruins swept Arizona State on Friday at Wells Fargo Arena. Set scores were 25-15, 25-21, 25-17. Senior Lainey Gera added 20 digs for her 32nd career contest with at least 20.

The Bruins improve to 14-2 overall and remain in a tie for first in the Pac-12 with a 7-1 record, while the Sun Devils fall to 4-12 and 0-7 in league play.

Todorovic, who added nine digs and three blocks, has 26 kills and no errors in 41 swings over her last two matches (.634 hitting percentage). Junior Rachael Kidder produced 14 kills, five digs and four blocks, junior Tabi Love notched nine kills and senior Lauren Van Orden notched 34 assists and four digs. Sophomore Meg Norton tallied 10 digs and two aces, as the Bruins hit .312 for the match.

Although the opening set would be tied on three occasions, the Bruins never trailed. UCLA scored three of the first four on two kills by Love and one from senior Sara Sage, and still led 6-5 when three straight Arizona State errors made it a four-point advantage. The Sun Devils countered with five of the next six to even things at 10. Tied at 12, the Bruins broke it open with runs of 6-0 and 9-1.

Four straight kills by Van Orden, sophomore Mariana Aquino, Love and Todorovic made it 16-12, which was followed by an ASU attack error and an Aquino/Todorovic combo block to extend the lead to six. After a Sun Devil sideout, a Todorovic kill, an ASU attack error and an ace by Norton raised the advantage to eight at 21-13. The Sun Devils scored two of the next three to make it 22-15, but a 3-0 run by the Bruins on a Todorovic kill and ace and a combo roof from Kidder and Sage finished off a 25-15 win. Love and Todorovic each had four kills in the opener, while Aquino added three kills. Gera produced seven digs, as the Bruins out-hit the Sun Devils .355 to .121.

UCLA trailed by as many as four in the second set, but went on a long run to go up 2-0 in the match. ASU scored three of the first four, but three straight kills by Sage put the Bruins up 4-3. UCLA still had a 7-6 lead, but a 6-1 Sun Devil run gave the home squad a 12-8 advantage. However, it was all Bruins after that thanks to a 10-0 run. A kill by Todorovic, a combo block by Aquino and Kidder and consecutive spikes by the same duo tied the score at 12.

The run wasn't over though, as two ASU errors and a pair of Aquino combo blocks, one with Kidder and another with Todorovic, made it 16-12. Todorovic then had back-to-back kills to extend the lead to 18-12. Arizona State came back with five of the next seven to cut its deficit to three at 20-17, but would get no closer, as UCLA won the set 25-21 following a Todorovic kill. Kidder had six kills to pace the Bruins in the second, Todorovic added four and Love and Sage had three apiece. Aquino posted three blocks, while Gera had seven more digs, as the Bruins and the Sun Devils each hit .250.

The Bruins led wire-to-wire in the third set to finish off the sweep. UCLA scored four of the first five on an ace by Norton, kills from Todorovic and Kidder and a combo roof by Todorovic and freshman Zoë Nightingale, but Arizona State came back with six of the next 10 to get to within one at 8-7. However, the Bruins came back with a 9-1 run and the rout was on.

Back-to-back kills by Todorovic made it 10-7, and after an ASU sideout, a Kidder kill and a combo block by Kidder and Nightingale extended the advantage to 12-8. That was followed by two ASU attack errors, a pair of Todorovic kills and a Kidder spike to make it 17-8. The Bruins' biggest lead of the set was 10 on a pair of occasions, as they went on to win it 25-17. Kidder and Todorovic each had six kills in the third, as the Bruins out-hit the Sun Devils .342 to .095. Gera and Norton both had six digs.
