Recap |  Box Score |  Quotes

*UCLA improves its record in the overall series with Stanford to 45-31-3. The Bruins have won the last five overall meetings and the last six straight played in the Rose Bowl.

*UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel is now 4-0 against Stanford in his coaching career (3-0 at Washington, 1-0 at UCLA).

*Stanford scored its first points against UCLA in the Rose Bowl since 2002 (a 28-18 UCLA win). The Cardinal had been shut out in its previous two trips to Pasadena.

*Defensive tackle Jess Ward's third quarter interception was the first of his career and the second by a defensive lineman this year (first was by Brian Price against Fresno State).

*Wide receiver Terrence Austin caught a two-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter, marking his first career touchdown.

*Austin totaled five kickoffs today for 88 yards to vault from a tie for 10th to a tie for third on UCLA's single-season kickoff returns list with 25 returns for 632 yards. Austin is tied with Tab Perry, who had 25 returns for 626 yards in 2002.

*Kevin Craft's 43-yard pass to Taylor Embree in the third quarter was a career-long for both players and UCLA's longest pass play of the year. Embree finished with a career-best and game-high 72 receiving yards.

*Craft finished the game with 285 yards (three yards shy of his career high) on 23-for-39 passing and a career-high tying two touchdowns.

*Freshman tight end Cory Harkey's game-winning touchdown reception with 10 seconds remaining in the game was his first career touchdown.

*Kicker Kai Forbath made three field goals today (37, 19, 28) to tie his career-high for field goals in a game. This is the sixth time in his career and second time this season that he has made three field goals in a game.

*Wide receiver Nelson Rosario had career-best totals of four receptions and 71 yards.

*UCLA's defense gave up just 51 yards passing on the day, marking the second consecutive game in which the Bruins have allowed less than 100 yards passing (UCLA held Oregon to 42 passing yards last week).

*Today's attendance was 64,883, marking the 13th consecutive home game in which UCLA has drawn over 60,000 fans.
