Senior defender Bristyn Davis (Locust Valley, NY/St. Anthony's HS) of the UCLA Women's Soccer team was selected as the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week (Oct. 23-29).
Playing in her final regular season home match, Davis scored the game-winning goal in UCLA's 2-0 victory over Washington State on "Senior Day" at Drake Stadium on Sunday. With the win, UCLA improved its record to 16-2 overall and 7-0 in the Pac-10. It marked the first goal in two years for Davis, who was moved to the defense following her sophomore season. She also assisted on UCLA's second goal in a 2-0 victory over Washington on Friday evening. On the defensive side, she helped the Bruins posted their 11th and 12th shutouts of the season. Davis ranks fourth on the team in scoring with seven points (1g, 5a).
This is Davis' first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of her career.
