After recording three sacks tonight, UCLA's Bruce Davis moved into to a tie with Jamir Miller (1991-93) for fifth on UCLA's career quarterback sacks list with 23.5. Davis also moved into 11th on UCLA's list for career tackles for loss with 34.5.
Tonight's attendance of 78,543 marks the first time UCLA has had four consecutive home games in the Rose Bowl with over 70,000 fans (Sept. 22, 2007 vs. Washington - 72,124; Sept. 8, 2007 vs. BYU - 72,986; Dec. 2, 2006 vs. USC - 90,622).
This is the first time since the Bruins moved to the Rose Bowl in 1982 that UCLA has opened the season with three-straight games with over 70,000 in attendance. The last time UCLA had three games with 70,000+ attendance over the course of a season was 2001 (Sept. 22, 2001 vs. Ohio State - 73,723; Oct. 13, 2001 vs. Washington - 70,377; Nov. 10, 2001 vs. Oregon - 78,330).
