Senior midfielder Stacy Lindstrom (Laguna Niguel, Calif./Aliso Niguel HS) of the UCLA Women's Soccer team was selected as the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week (Oct. 9-15).
Lindstrom scored one of the biggest goals of her UCLA career on Sunday, helping the fourth-ranked Bruins to a 2-1 overtime victory over cross-town rival USC. With the score tied at 1-1 in the eighth minute of overtime, Lindstrom scored her first goal of the season, heading in a cross from Bristyn Davis to give UCLA its third-straight overtime victory against USC. The win was UCLA's eighth in a row in the series. The Bruins are now unbeaten in their last 10 matches against the Women of Troy.
This is Lindstrom's first UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the season and of her career.
