Chelsea Stewart Named to Capital One Academic All-District Team

UCLA junior defender Chelsea Stewart has been named to the 2012 Capital One Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Stewart boasts a 3.56 GPA in Economics.

After winning a bronze medalist with the Canadian national team at the 2012 Olympic Games, Stewart returned to Westwood and has started in 15 of 16 games played for the second-ranked Bruins. She has totaled four assists and helped lead a UCLA defense to 11 shutouts and a team goals against average of 0.43. The Bruins went undefeated for the first 17 games of the season and will finish up regular season play on Friday afternoon at USC.
