SCULLY & WOODEN ... For The Kids Is Almost Here (June 13)

June 5, 2008

SCULLY & WOODEN...For the Kids, a distinctive "Inside-the-Actor's Studio-type" evening starring Vin Scully and John Wooden, is just around the corner (June 13). Tickets still remain, so don't miss the chance to hear two of Los Angeles' greatest sports personalities on the same stage. The event is a great way to start a weekend that concludes with Father's Day.

Tickets, priced at $25, $50, $100 and $200, are currently available online at , via Ticketmaster charge-by-phone lines at (213) 480-3232 or (714) 740-2000 and at all Ticketmaster ticket centers.

Moderated by Los Angeles Times sports columnist T.J. Simers, this outstanding event will take place on-stage at NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE June 13th, 2008 beginning at 7:30 PM. The sports icons who each came to Los Angeles more than fifty years ago to begin jobs that would define their legendary status and careers, will share the stage as well as their insights, philosophies, memories, observations and wisdom before an anticipated sell-out audience of more than 7,000.

In agreeing to take part in the "once-in-a-lifetime" event, both gentlemen requested that all monies raised be pledged to charities benefiting children. To fulfill their joint edict, all proceeds will be split between the Pediatric Cancer Program at Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA and pediatric cancer research at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles and City of Hope through ThinkCure, the official charity of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE was chosen as the venue for the event after Tim Leiweke, president & CEO of theatre owner AEG, donated the venue in addition to volunteering to host an exclusive pre-event dinner for organizations participating as Presenting Sponsors of the evening.

Official media partners of SCULLY & WOODEN...For the Kids include The Los Angeles Times, AM570 and FOX Sports Net. Marketing partners include The Los Angeles Dodgers and UCLA Athletics.
