UCLA Men's Basketball Picked to Defend Pac-10 Title in 2006-07

Los Angeles - UCLA was picked to finish first in the 2006-07 Pacific-10 Conference men's basketball race, according to a poll of media members who cover Pac-10 men's basketball. The Bruins were tabbed to finish ahead of Arizona and Washington, respectively.

Entering the 2006-07 campaign as the defending Pac-10 regular-season and tournament champions, UCLA received 21 of 35 first-place votes. Arizona was picked to finish second and received 13 first-place votes. Washington was selected third, followed by Oregon (one-first place vote). California was tabbed to finish fifth, followed by USC and Stanford. Rounding out the preseason poll was - in order - Oregon State, Arizona State and Washington State.
