WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- UCLA forward Sydney Leroux has been named Bank of the West Pac-12 Women's Soccer Player of the Week for Oct. 24-31, Commissioner Larry Scott announced Tuesday.
The senior achieved her second hat trick in two weeks, scoring three goals in the first half of Friday's meeting with Colorado in Boulder. UCLA went on to win 8-0.
On Sunday, the Vancouver, B.C. native also scored the game-winner in overtime to beat Utah, 1-0. The goal was Leroux's eighth game-winning goal of the year. She leads UCLA in scoring with 29 points (14 goals, one assist) and has scored seven goals in the Bruins' last four matches.
This is Leroux's second Pac-12 Player of the Week honor this season and the 29th all-time selection for UCLA.
The No. 4 Bruins wrap up the regular season Friday when they host USC at 7 p.m. PT.
