Coach Mora addresses media after the morning practice

The Bruins came out in full pads for the evening practice in San Bernardino. The emphasis was on situational work, with the offense going against the defense. Defensive backs Aaron Hester and Ishmael Adams stood out on a number of plays in the secondary. Coach Mora indicated that the defensive line, running back, linebacker and wide receiver positions were the strengths of the team, by position. He said that overall depth needed to improve going forward. Coach mentioned several young players he thought had enjoyed solid camps including linebacker Nate Iese, defensive back Marcus Rios, defensive back Ishmael Adams, defensive back Randall Goforth, receiver Jordan Payton, receiver Javon Williams and receiver Kenneth Walker. He said that offensive lineman Ben Wysocki had "come out of nowhere", receiver Jerry Johnson had a solid camp, along with fullback David Allen.

In the morning, the team practiced without pads in a workout which stressed situational work and tempo. Senior Y receiver Joseph Fauria made several key catches during the drills. Coach Mora talked after practice about the competition going on in the Bruin secondary. He cited youngsters Ishmael Adams, Randall Goforth and Marcus Rios as having the "indicators" which could make them contributors this season.

Thursday's practice session will begin at 8:00 a.m. The team will then pack up and head back to Westwood. Continue to check the website for practice time changes / updates.
