Four UCLA Water Polo Players Secure ACWPC All-Academic Acclaim

BREA, Calif. - Seniors Megan Burmeister, Kelly Easterday and Katie Estrada and junior KK Clark have earned ACWPC All-Academic Team acclaim, as announced this week by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC).

Easterday and Clark have been named "superior" selections, while Burmeister and Estrada have been distinguished as "excellent" selections.

The ACWPC recognizes student-athletes with a cumulative grade-point average between 4.0 and 3.71 as "outstanding" selections, between 3.70 and 3.41 as "superior" and from 3.40 to 3.20 as "excellent." In addition, student-athletes must have participated in at least half of the team's games.

Easterday finished her career as a four-time ACWPC All-Academic Team selection. Estrada captured All-Academic honors as a senior, sophomore and freshman. Burmeister and Clark were first honored as All-Academic selections in 2010.

UCLA concluded the 2011 season with a 26-7 record, including a third-place finish at the NCAA Tournament and second-place showing at the MPSF Tournament.
