Senior outside hitter Tabi Love (Dauphin, Manitoba, Canada/Dauphin Regional Secondary) of the UCLA women's volleyball team was selected as the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for Sept. 10-16.

Love led the second-ranked Bruins in kills in both matches last week as UCLA knocked off #18 Pepperdine and Colorado State. Love averaged 5.00 kills per set and hit .381 with 40 kills in 84 attempts.

After posting three kills in the opening set, the senior came on strong in the next two stanzas. She had eight kills and no errors in nine attempts in the second and added five kills in 10 swings in the third, leading the team in kills in both sets.

On Saturday at Colorado State, Love again paced the Bruins with 24 kills to go with a .310 hitting percentage. She added four block solos for 28 points. Love didn't have a hitting error in either of the first two sets, going 7-for-10 in the opener and 5-for-18 in the second. She added five kills in the third, three in the fourth and four in the fifth and would lead the Bruins in kills in every set against the Rams.

Love leads the Bruins in kills per set at 3.97 and points per set at 4.44, and has a .338 hitting percentage, more than 100 points above her career average. Her 12 block solos are also first on the squad.
