  • With the win, UCLA improves its record to 6-5 and has now qualified to play in a bowl game for the 11th time in the last 13 seasons.
  • UCLA now owns a 16-9-1 advantage in the series with Arizona State.
  • UCLA recovered a season-high five fumbles today, the most since recovering five fumbles vs. USC in 1998.
  • Senior Alterraun Verner returned an interception for a 68-yard touchdown in the first series of the game. It was his fourth career interception return for a touchdown, which is a new school record. It was also his fifth career defensive touchdown, which ties Spencer Havner's school record. Verner has 12 career interceptions, which stands just outside UCLA's career Top 10 list. With three tackles today, he moved into UCLA's Top 20 list for career tackles with 270 (20th place).
  • Akeem Ayers recovered a fumble caused by Brian Price and ran it nine yards for a touchdown in the second quarter. The touchdown was Ayers' second of the season.
  • Junior defensive tackle Brian Price tied his career-high with four tackles for loss, including two sacks. He now has 20.5 tackles for loss on the season, which ties for fourth on the all-time school single-season list. For his career, he has totaled 41.5 tackles for loss to move into fifth on UCLA's career list.
  • Kicker Kai Forbath connected on three field goals today (22, 20, 25 yards) to increase his streak to 35 straight field goals made from a distance of 50 yards and in (he had one miss from 51 yards out). Forbath is now first in the nation with 26 field goals (out of 29) this year, a total that ranks third on UCLA's single-season field goal list. Forbath is also tied for second with Justin Medlock on UCLA's career field goal list with 70.
  • Wide receiver Terrence Austin had one reception today to increase his streak to 25 straight games with a catch.
  • Austin had 85 all-purpose yards to move into fifth place on UCLA's career list with 4,091. He also moved into ninth on the school's single-season all-purpose yardage list with 1,484.
