Box Score

LOS ANGELES - Wearing special pink uniforms in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the No. 3 UCLA women's soccer team turned in one of its most dominating performances of the season on Sunday, scoring twice in each half to take a 4-0 victory over Washington at Drake Stadium. The Bruins, who have now outscored the competition 32-2 this season, improve to 11-0-2 overall and 2-0 in the Pac-10. With the loss, the Huskies fall to 9-4 overall and 0-2 in league play.

Junior forward Kristina Larsen, who was instrumental in the Bruins' 2-1 overtime victory against Washington State on Friday night, continued her hot streak on Sunday, scoring two goals and assisting on another. She scored the first goal of the match, hitting a low-lining shot from the right side that bounced off the left post and in at the 32:40 mark.

Freshman Sydney Leroux would put the Bruins up 2-0 in the 37th minute, as she capitalized on a perfect through ball from Larsen, eventually beating Washington goalkeeper Kari Davidson to the far post. Davidson was in the match after starting goalkeeper Alex Phillips was forced to leave the game in the 21st minute due to injury.

Junior Lauren Cheney scored her second goal of the weekend on a header in the 60th minute to give the Bruins a 3-0 lead. Leroux crossed the ball from the right side, hitting Cheney perfectly in stride for her seventh goal of the year. It mirrored the goal she scored against Washington State in the 90th minute on Friday night to eventually send the game into overtime.

Larsen would cap the scoring for UCLA at the 81:54 mark, hitting another hard liner to the left post from the top right corner of the box. Lauren Barnes and Erin Hardy were credited with assists on that goal. Larsen is tied with Cheney for the team lead in goals with seven.

Bruin goalkeeper Ashley Thompson picked up another shutout on Sunday, her sixth of the season. She also added a match-high eight saves on the day.

UCLA's home winning streak is now at 44 in a row. The Bruins have not lost a home match since Sept. 9, 2005.

The Bruins' pink jersey tops will be auctioned off in the next few weeks on uclabruins.com. All proceeds will go to the Revlon/UCLA Breast Center.

The Bruins will hit the road for the next three matches, beginning at Arizona State next Friday at 7:00 p.m.
