LAKEWOOD, Calif. - Ninth-ranked UCLA came back from a two-run deficit in its last at-bat in Sunday's first game against UNLV to post a 4-3 victory, while junior Jessica Hall tossed the 103rd no-hitter in Bruin history in the nightcap, a 10-0, five-inning win over Charleston Southern at the Long Beach State Invitational at Mayfair Park.

In game one, the Bruins rallied from 3-1 down in the top of the seventh, scoring three times to post a dramatic, comeback victory. UCLA had 10 hits as a team, with seven players recording at least one, as senior B.B. Bates, sophomore Stephany LaRosa and freshman Allexis Bennett each posted a pair of base knocks.

Sophomore Ally Carda (13-2) earned the win, going the distance and striking out seven. She allowed three runs, three hits and a walk. Carda retired the first nine batters of the game, adding 1-2-3 innings in the sixth and seventh. The sophomore fanned a pair in the third and fifth.

The Bruins (21-4) broke a scoreless tie in the top of the fourth when freshman Britney Rodriguez hit her first collegiate homer to left.

The Rebels (8-16) countered with three runs in their half of the fourth. Stefany Valentino led off with a walk, and one out later, moved to third on a double to center by Tayler Van Acker. One out later, Alyssa Cordova was hit by a pitch to load the bases and Pauline Monreal cleared them with a triple to center to put UNLV up 3-1.

UCLA began its rally in the seventh with a single to left from Bennett and a double to left-center by sophomore Gracie Goulder. Bates followed with a double to left-center to bring home Bennett and Goulder to equal the score at three. One out later, Carda reached on a fielding error by UNLV pitcher Amanda Oliveto and junior Jessica Hall walked to load the bases. Freshman Brittany Moeai then singled to right to score Bates with the go-ahead run.

In the nightcap, Hall (4-2) needed only 54 pitches for her first no-hitter. She retired the first 10 batters of the game and the last five, only issuing a one-out walk in the fourth. She struck out six, fanning a pair in the third and fifth frames.

The Bruins (22-4) scored all 10 of their runs in the first inning. Bates and Bennett each added another two-hit game, as did Carda and Goulder, with UCLA producing 11 as a team.

The Bruins got it going right away in the bottom of the first, sending seven people to the plate before recording an out. Goulder led off with a bunt single, stole second and scored on a single up the middle by Bates. LaRosa followed with a first-pitch homer to center, her seventh of the season, to make it 3-0. UCLA loaded the bases on a walk to Carda, a hit by pitch of Hall and a walk to Moeai. A wild pitch brought in Carda to make it 4-0 and Rodriguez then hit her second homer of the day to left to increase the margin to 7-0.

One out later, Bennett singled to left and scored on a double to center by Goulder to make it 8-0. After a single to left for Bates moved Goulder to third, the duo pulled off a double steal, with Goulder bringing in the Bruins' ninth run. One out later, Carda singled to left to bring in Bates with UCLA's 10th run.

The Bruins play North Dakota State on Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Easton Stadium. Gametracker will be available at UCLABruins.com, as well as live updates at twitter.com/uclasoftball.
