COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Senior Michelle Vale, junior Paulina Guzman and sophomore Emma Ivory-Ganja completed day two of the NCAA Zone E Championships on Friday with the One-Meter competition. Ivory-Ganja placed fifth, Vale was 25th and Guzman finished 30th.
Ivory-Ganja, who qualified for next week's NCAA Championships by virtue of her fourth-place finish on Thursday in the Three-Meter, made the Top 18 cut, finishing 13th in the prelims with a six-dive total of 264.65. After that slow start, she bounced back to move into fifth following her last six dives, producing a score of 287.25 for a final total of 551.90.
Vale was 25th in the preliminaries with a six-dive score of 251.60, while Guzman was 30th with a total of 238.25.
The NCAA Zone E Championships wrap up on Saturday, with Ivory-Ganja being the lone Bruin taking part in the Platform event. The preliminaries start at 10 a.m. PT, with the finals beginning at 11:30 a.m. PT.
