LOS ANGELES - The UCLA women's soccer team will face a tough test in its final spring game of the year, as the Bruins are scheduled to take on the Pali Blues, a W-League expansion team that features former Bruins Valerie Henderson, Danesha Adams and Jill Oakes.
The showdown is set for Wednesday, April 16 at Palisades High School. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for youth/UCLA students (w/ Valid ID). All proceeds from the match will go to The Painted Turtle Camp, an organization which is affiliated with the UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital.
In addition to Henderson, Oakes and Adams, the Pali Blues also feature former college players from North Carolina (Kendall Fletcher), Santa Clara (Brittany Klein), USC (Rosie Tantillo) and Arizona State (Manya Makoski, Liz Bogus).
UCLA is scheduled to play two spring games prior to its showdown with the Pali Blues. Next up is a showdown with the University of Texas on April 5 in Temecula (5:30 p.m.), followed by a match against the Under-20 U.S. National Team on April 12 at the Home Depot Center (1:00 p.m.).
