2013-14: Madeline Brooks played in 30 games while making three starts and averaging a career-high 16.8 minutes per game … the walk-on guard was awarded a scholarship for the 2013-14 season as announced by Head Coach Cori Close at the team’s 2013 postseason banquet … she missed the season opener with an injury … had the best assist/turnover ratio on the team at 1.75 (28 assists, 16 turnovers) … the 16 turnovers were the fewest on the team and averaged out as one turnover per every 31.5 minutes played … she played 504 minutes on the year, compared to just 86 minutes combined her previous two seasons … scored a career-high 12 points on 4-for-8 shooting (all from three-point range) to go with three assists in the Bruins' first-round loss to Colorado in the Pac-12 Tournament (Mar. 6) … scored a then-career-high 10 points on 4-of-6 shooting (2-for-2 from three-point range) and added two rebounds in the win at Oregon (Feb. 17) … tallied six points and a steal in a win over Oregon State (Jan. 20) … had a career-high four assists to go with two rebounds in the comeback win over Oregon (Jan. 17) … made her second career start in the win at San Diego State (Dec. 15) and scored six points (2-for-5 from three-point range) … grabbed a defensive rebound with the Bruins leading 78-76 over No. 10 Oklahoma with :15 remaining … after she was fouled, she calmly sank the first two free throws of her collegiate career to ice the victory … grabbed a career-high four rebounds in the win over Pepperdine (Nov. 11) … engaged to Bruin right-handed pitcher Cody Poteet.
2012-13: Brooks played in 11 games … she saw her first action of the season in the home rout of Loyola Marymount (Dec. 2) and had two assists in four minutes against the Lions … she scored her first points of the year when she drained a three-pointer in the blowout win at Pepperdine (Dec. 28) and added a rebound against the Waves … she tied her season- and career-high of three points on a made three-pointer in the lopsided win over Utah (Feb. 3) … also recorded the first steal of her career against the Utes … has made 10 appearances this season for a total of 26 minutes of action … Brooks saw action in 12 games last year and made a start at USC (Feb. 19, 2012) … she played a career-high 16 minutes against Oregon, knocking down a three-pointer and grabbing a rebound.
2011-12: Brooks saw action in nine of the last 13 games, with a start at USC (Feb. 19) … scored two points vs. Washington State (Feb. 4) … grabbed a rebound in the overtime win at Colorado (Jan. 29) and one at Utah (Jan. 26) … played career-high 16 minutes vs. Oregon (Jan. 21), making a three-pointer and collecting a rebound … scored first basket of her career in a win at Loyola Marymount (Dec. 4) … made her collegiate debut vs. Colgate (Nov. 26) … is a walk-on and was added to the roster prior to the start of the season.
