LaRosa played four years of shortstop at Diamond Bar High School in Diamond Bar, Calif. ... was named Hacienda League MVP and DBHS Female Athlete of the Year, and first-team All-CIF, San Gabriel Valley Tribune All-Inland Valley, Daily Bulletin All-San Gabriel Valley and All-Max Preps as a senior ... hit .508 with eight home runs, 26 runs batted in and 16 stolen bases ... helped the Brahmas to a league title in 2011 ... first-team All-State, All-Area and All-Sierra League and second-team All-CIF as a junior ... led the Sierra League with a .502 average and five homers and was named 2010’s Most Feared Hitter in Softball by the Los Angeles Times ... earned numerous scholar-athlete awards, and her number 11 jersey was retired at DBHS ... coached by Roberta Garcia ... played travel ball with Corona Angels, winning the 18U Champions Cup in 2011.

Born Stephany Ollie LaRosa on Feb. 26, 1993 in Diamond Bar, Calif. ... parents are Ronda and Vincent LaRosa ... father played football at Oklahoma ... is the youngest of three children, with sister, Brittany (played softball at California) and brother, Joey ... chose UCLA because of the outstanding academics and athletics, and because it is close to home ... favorites include the movie “Benchwarmers”, the New York Yankees, Derek Jeter and the TV show “Pretty Little Liars” ... thing she likes the most about softball is how the game tests your character when things don’t go your way ... hobbies include singing (badly), movies and board games ... biggest athletic thrill so far has been signing her letter of intent knowing all her hard work paid off ... majoring in sociology and would like to go into pediatrics.
